With less than two weeks to go until the most important elite award ceremony in American and possibly world cinema. The list of singers who will be entertaining the evening with their live musical performances has been confirme.
On Sunday Oscars 12 March, the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, California, will host the 95th Academy Awards. Where the most important films of the past year will be honoure, as well as a wide range of international performers.
Singers who will be present
The Hollywood Academy has confirme the list of musical performers who will be present at the big event. Last week it was announce that singers Rihanna. Oscars Sofia Carson and songwriter Diane Warren will be present.

Tuesday 28 February, it was announced that David Byrne. Actress Stephanie Hsu and the band Son Lux will also be on stage to perform the song “This Is A Life”, from the film “Everything Everywhere All at Once”.

This is the third performance confirmed by the Hollywood Academy. Whose organisers announce last week that singers Rihanna, Sofia Carson and songwriter Diane Warren will also take part in the gala on 12 March at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles.

The Barbados artist will perform “Lift Me Up” from the film “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever”, while Carson and Warren will perform “Applause” from the film “Tell It Like A Woman”.
Those three songs are competing in the Best Original Song category alongside Lady Gaga’s “Hold My Hand” from the film “Top Gun: Maverick” and M.M. Kerevani’s “Naatu Naatu” from the film “RRR”.
Songwriting and lyric credits for “This Is A Life” go to Ryan Lott. David Byrne and Mitski (songwriting only), while the performance was by Byrne and Hsu.
This is not the first time that Byrne, also known as a member of the Talking Heads. Has been part of the most anticipated film celebration of the year.
In 1987, the American-born Scottish musician won an Oscar. Best Soundtrack for his work on Bernardo Bertolucci’s film “The Last Emperor”.
Hsu, on the other hand, has her first Best Supporting Actress nomination. Her work in Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert’s film.
The film by the directors known as “the Daniels” is emerging as one of the big favourites of the night after being crowne. The winner of awards such as the Critics Choice Awards and more recently the Producers Guild Award Oscars.
Son Lux is an experimental music group formed by Lott, Ian Chang and Rafiq Bhatia.
