The revamped Triumph Street Triple 765 R and RS naked bikes are now available in Chile

One of the most fun, powerful and lightweight nake midsize bikes on the market gets an update in 2023. We are talking about the Triumph Street Triple 765. Whose R and RS versions take advantage of the experience of the British brand as sole engine supplier. The Moto2 World Championship from 2019, to improve in all aspects.

Starting with its engine, which, while maintaining the 765 cc in-line three-cylinder configuration, inherits new features developed for the intermediate category of the World Championship. These include a higher compression ratio (from 12.65:1 to 13.25:1), which is accompanied by a new set of pistons, cylinders, piston pins, valves and camshafts, which now have a higher lift.

The Street Triple R now makes 120 hp, while the RS increases its output to 130 hp. Both deliver a maximum torque of 80 Nm (previously 77 Nm) at 9,500 rpm.

La caja de cambios también se modificó ampliamente con relaciones más cortas, ofreciendo una respuesta aún más directa que antes. Otro cambio interesante es el uso de una línea de escape menos restrictiva para acentuar el gruñido típico del motor tricilíndrico. El silenciador también es nuevo y está mejor integrado.

La Triumph Street Triple 765 2023 también evoluciona en términos de ergonomía, con una posición de conducción más dominante y conectada. Su manillar es 12 mm más ancho, mejorando el control. Mientras tanto, la geometría revisada permite un rastrillo más pronunciado y un tren trasero más alto, lo que se traduce en una mayor agilidad y rapidez de movimientos.

Seat height was set at 826 mm on the Street Triple R and 836 mm on the Street Triple RS. As an accessory, they offer a low seat with 3D net technology, which offers greater accessibility (28 mm lower). A specific linkage kit makes it possible to lower the top-of-the-range version by a further 10 mm.

The brakes on the R version use a 310 mm dual disc at the front, which is fitted with Brembo M4.32 four-piston radial-mount calipers. The RS version uses 4-piston Brembo Stylema brake calipers and a 310 mm floating twin disc.

The latter’s more radical stance is also evident in the adoption of Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SP V3 tyres.

Technology, safety and comfort
As standard, the revamped Street Triple 765 family features cornering-optimised ABS, which ensures optimum braking performance at all lean angles. The system features a new ABS module that integrates an inertial measurement unit (IMU).
