You can now apply to race in the Latin America Talent Cup, one of the development platforms on the road to MotoGP.

Last year saw the announcement of two new routes to the Road to MotoGP: the Latin America Talent Cup (LATC) and the FIM MiniGP Latin America Series. Both launch a new era for motorbike racing talent in the region, offering youngsters invaluable opportunities to join the Road to MotoGP.

Pre-registration is now open for the Latin America Talent Cup. Those wishing to join can log on to www.latinamericatalentcup.com; once candidates have registered, their applications will be assessed and successful candidates will be offere the opportunity to join the grid. The deadline is 31 January.

Centaurs from Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Peru, Mexico and Venezuela have already applie and will take places on the grid. With more slots available for eligible competitors looking to join.

Who can apply?
Riders between the ages of 14 and 21 from Mexico, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Honduras, Nicaragua, Guatemala, Puerto Rico, El Salvador, Panama, Costa Rica, Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Brazil, Paraguay, Uruguay, Chile and Argentina.

The Latin America Talent Cup will be launched at the Argentinean MotoGP Grand Prix at the end of March. Before competition begins alongside the Argentinean World Superbike round at the end of 2023.

The calendar will then turn to 2024, with the first round of the season. Schedule for March at the Autódromo Internacional de Codegua in Chile. Followe by a visit to Termas de Rio Hondo in Argentina alongside MotoGP. Two rounds at the Autódromo Internacional Ayrton Senna in Goiânia. The Circuito dos Cristais in Curvelo, both in Brazil.

Meanwhile, the FIM MiniGP Latin America Series will start in 2023. Line with the requirements to be part of the FIM MiniGP World Series. Will see 15 riders aged between ten and 14 competing on Ohvale GP-0 160s. The calendar will run from March to October, with five events in three countries: Argentina, Brazil and Chile.

Both the Latin America Talent Cup and the FIM MiniGP Latin America Series will be organisedby GP3 Sport as promoter, in collaboration with FIM Latin America. They will also be supporte by WorldSBK star rider coach Leandro “Tati” Mercado.
